Cameroon out of world cup

Cameroon gets nailed 2-1 by Denmark and is now eliminated from the World Cup

In group E Cameroon is the first team to face elimination from the world cup, as the Denmark squad aced the 2nd goal on Cameroon in the 2nd half to finish Cameroons participation. Netherlands leads the group with 6 points and is basically already qualified with Japan, Denmark behind with 3 points each.

Nobody thought it would have Cameroon to be eliminated first but that's soccer, and now it comes to
Japan vs Denmark. Winner of that game goes to the next round against group F first place winner which could be Italy, Paraguay, Slovakia, New Zealand.

For the Cameroons they play Netherlands to finish off their participation in the world cup but it won't seem to matter if they win or loose.

Portugal's Ronaldo vs. Ivory Coast's Didier Drogba

The Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo is ready for the encounter against Ivory Coast for a group G show down

Cristiano Ronaldo has been turning heads before jumping to Real Madrid in 2008-2009, but can Ronaldo demonstrate the world his ability representing his country Portugal in Group G.

The Portuguese are not a favor to win the group as they are in group with one of the best and most favorite to win the world cup Brazil/

PREDICTION

For today's game I select the Portuguese to win this match 1-0. Brazil however faces tomorrow the underdog of the group N. Korea which has no key players. For the Brazilians its an easy opportunity to sit on the first place chair today, but only if Brazil takes North Korea serious, once they get over confident the Koreans can score on the Brazilians.

 Portugal's activity before the cup

Didier Drogba has scored many goals for Chelsea, in the Premier League (England) but can he do it for his country Ivory Coast in the World Cup 2010 against a difficult group Brazil, Portugal, and  North Korea.

Italy barely ties it, Paraguay satisfied

Italy's Daniele De Rossi ties the game against Paraguay for a final score of 1-1 ;group F

Paraguay shocked a lot of fans scoring against the champions Italy in the second period on a free-kick but Italy in the end walked out with a 1-1 tie.

Group F consists of Italy, Paraguay, Slovakia, and New Zealand. Tomorrow the Slovakian's will play against New Zealand and since neither Italy or Paraguay were able to win the chair for first place in group F waits. Will it be Slovakia or New Zealand. This is a very close game as both teams are ranked just about the same.

Unlike group C where Algeria's hopes for coming back are slim group F is anybody's chance for advancing to the next round especially since Italy is not playing at their best.

Many sports reporters say its because most of Italy's players are old, and don't play the same anymore. They have the experience true but it's not the same I agree. Take a look at Germany on Sundays victory; Most of the squad is below the age of 25. because I believe resistance wins matches not just experience.

In my point of view Italy passes to the next round 1st place, but could get eliminated in the first round unless they step it up.

Algeria needs a miracle to over pass England, USA with today's lost.

1-0 victory for the Slovenian; upset Algeria, and gives Slovenia not just a win, but the first place seat in group C

Algeria’s goalkeeper Faouzi Chaouchi is the latest goalkeeper to not be able to grab on to the ball during a game against Slovenia, when Slovenia's striker Robert Koren  kicked the ball from not far from the goal area which slipped right out of Chaouchi hands giving Slovenia the 1-0 victory over the Algerian's. This was the only goal of a 1-0 loss at Peter Mokaba Stadium 6/13/2010.

Is it the soccer ball's fault or both England's & Algeria's keeper fault? England's Robert Green made a similar mistake Saturday against the United States, when he had bad control of the ball.
After the game of Algeria and Slovenia, keeper Chaouchi put his face on the ground and tears shattered his face.

Robert Koren makes the only goal in the encounter, which gives Slovenia the 1-0 victory.

Not only did Slovenia win their first world cup  match today, but are now sitting in first place of group C. The Slovenians are on top of England, USA, and Algeria on the very bottom.

The Algerians are practically eliminated already as they're next opponents are USA, and England.

Group C underdogs face off for high stakes.

Algerian barely made it to the World Cup 2010, the question now is will they finish off strong. The two underdogs of group C face off.

USA tied with England yesterday 1 goal a piece. Both England and the United States have each one point on the group board. With a victory over Slovenia today, Algeria would be in first place of group C. This could be an advantage if Algeria has any hope of qualifying to the next round.

Algeria NEEDS to play a well game in front of the African fans. The two underdogs will play at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, South Africa. No doubt Algeria is the home team.

Besides this World Cup in South Africa, Algeria has only made 2 appearances in 2 World Cups 1982, 1986.
Algeria has what it takes to win today's encounter against Slovenia. The World Cup is in the continent of Africa, that is why Algeria has a more higher chance of wining this game, and conquer 1st place in group C.s

PREDICTION SCORE
Algeria will struggle finding the first goal but will shock many fans in the second half, winning the game 2-0.
Algeria (2) Slovenia (0)

Players to watch out for "Karim Ziani"-Forward
"Madjid Bougherra"-Midfielder

USA shocks England once again, this time with tie.

England's goal keeper Robert Green can't hold on to the ball, which ties the game for a final score of 1-1 in the opening of group C.

Not a favorite to win today's encounter against England, team USA managed to pull of a tie 1-1.
On the 4th minute of the game England captain Steven Gerrard opened the score. The first period England owned the American defense. This game had England's name all written on it. Probably England striker Wayne Rooney's worst performance, missing more than 3 shots.

Group C is composed of the United States, England, Slovenia, Algeria. The two favorites to win the group are both England, and USA. Tomorrow (6/13/2010) Slovenia will face off against Algeria and one of these could conquer group C with a victory.

Did anybody notice USA's forwards horrible performance? Robbie Findley is a horrible candidate for a starting forward. The England defense absolutely sweeping him was because of the World cup level of experience. Findley is not for this level, sure he plays well in his club Real Salt Lake (MLS). Bob Bradley best candidate for the front is Herculez Gomes which was about to enter the field when the Brazilian referee blew the final whistle.

Fine start, but next game could decide Mexico's faith in WCUP.

Siphiwe Tshabalala is the first to score at the 2010 World Cup against Mexico's Oscar Perez. R. Marquez later tied it for the final score Mexico 1- South. Africa 1.

On the 55th minute South Africa found themselves on the score board 1-0.
It took 3 changes for the Mexican squad to find the goal for the tie which was scored by Rafael Marquez.

All Group A teams walked out today with 1 point each. Uruguay and France played later that day in a boring 0-0 score encounter. Mexico's next opponent is France, and the Mexicans need to find a complete line up because in today's game it was noticeable Mexico's coach Javier Auguirre is still in decisive of what players he needs. The main question everyone wants to know is 'who will be Mexico's main goalkeeper?'

Today's Mexico goalie starter was Oscar Perez which is not a favorite or even a preferred goal keeper by the Mexican republic.
The line up decisions must be confirmed before the encounter against France or it could cost Mexico a victory against France, and its hopes for the next round.

Mexico to overcome Group A

South African fans get ready to support their country in an opening battle against Mexico.

In less than 24 hours the beginning of the world cup games will begin. The first countries that will battle it out will be between Mexico & South Africa. Also France vs. Uruguay will take place that same date just hours later. These four countries are to play June 11, 2010 because they are all part of group A.
The top favorites to pass this group  are France, and Mexico. They are favorites because they have competitive players whom play in Europe like Mexico's Javier Hernandez (Manchester United's forward) and players for Europe like Frank Ribery (Bayern Munich mid-fielder). Uruguay has not been a favorite to win a world cup in years. Sure most of Uruguay's players play in strong teams in Europe like Diego Forlan (Atlético Madrid forward). The Uruguay squad plays well but when they come together as a nation and team up they seem to not play as good as they do in their clubs.

What Mexico needs to worry about in the group stage is getting in FIRST place. If Mexico is to conquer group A they face off in the elimination round against the second place winner of group B which could be South Korea or Nigeria. Two very strong teams with S. Korea having Ji-sung park (Manchester United's mid-fielder)and Nigeria having fans not too far from S.Africa. Statistically Mexico would win if it came down to Nigeria or S. Korea but if Mexico does not win group A in first place and instead in second they will be forced to play against Argentina which is favorite to win group B in first place.
Mexico does not want to play Argentina, if you recall the last World Cup in 2006 in Germany, Argentina eliminated Mexico in over-time with a far distance shot by Maxi Rodriguez. Aside from that Argentina also eliminated Mexico in the "Copa America" of South America in 2007. Since the World cup of 2006 Mexico has fronted Argentina twice with both encounters lost by Mexico.

Mexico is without a doubt in one of the hardest groups because you got the World Cup 2006 runner up France, the home team South Africa, and a not so bad Uruguay. However both Uruguay and France barely qualified to the World Cup this year. France defeating Ireland to get a spot in the world cup tournament as well as Uruguay defeating Costa Rica to earn its spot in the cup.
